The Good

I bought this dolly to help move our son’s things to and from his college. First thing I noticed is that the wheels and toe plate are very large which is very good as it makes the appliance dolly steady when moving it around. Although it doesn’t come with pneumatic wheels like similar capacity appliance dolly, it still does it’s job well. The base platform is large so it is easy have a stable load. When using the appliance dolly you have a choice of handles that rotate outward, or the top grip, which is bent backward slightly so your hand isn’t trapped between the handle and the item you’re moving. Overall it is very well made, sturdy construction solid applaince dolly.

The Not So Good

The only thing I don’t like about this style of appliance dolly is that there isn’t a bar between the wheels for you to rest your foot on when lifting or lowering an object. For really heavy items I’ve utilized that bar to have a steady balance to tilt the appliance dolly up or down.

The Good

We bought this Harper appliance dolly last October as we were in the midst of moving to a bigger house. Normally, I will just rent an appliance dolly from U-Haul but after doing some simple calculations I realized I just needed to add about 15 bucks and I can own the appliance dolly outright. Since then, I’ve been able to make the most out of this appliance dolly to move refrigerators, washers, dryers and other big stuff all by myself.

Using the Harper appliance dolly was quite easy as all I need to do is to stick the appliance dolly under one side of the stuff I am moving, run the rubber strap around to secure the item, inch it up and wheel away. Just make sure that the appliance you are moving is balanced properly on the appliance dolly and the strap safely secure.

I found that the Harper appliance dolly is just as sturdy and robust as the rental one from U-haul with all parts holding up to the weight of the load well. The wheels are tough and works well on most surfaces. Overall I was very pleased with the purchase and hope to get many more years of service out of this Harper appliance dolly. Highly recommended!

The Not So Good

So far, we have not encountered any major problems using this Harper appliance dolly. But I do note that if anything were to breakdown first, it will be wheels.
